iPod Design

I  chose  a  picture  of  my  favorite  guitarist  and,  using  the  quick  mask  tool  in  Photoshop,  cut  him  out  of  the  picture,  filled  the  cut-­‐out  to  make  the  silhoue<e.  Then  I  filled  the  background  with  blue.  

The  objecBve  was  to  select  a  picture  of  a  person  and  make  a  silhoue<e  of  that  person  and  fill  the  background  with  a  solid  color  to  create  something  similar  to  an  iPod  commercial.  

HOT SAUCE LOGO

I  used  the  peace  sign  to  show  the  balance  of  the  sweet  fruit  and  hot  peppers.  Caldo  e  Dolce  means  “Hot  and  Sweet”  in  Italian.  I  found  Photoshop  to  be  the  most  useful  in  this  project.  

The  objecBve  of  this  project  was  to  make  a  logo  that  is  designed  to  represent  a  bo<le  of  hot  sauce  that  is  fruit  infused.    

Type face

The  objecBve  of  this  project  was  to  create  something  using  the  le<ers  of  your  name.  

What  I  did  for  this  is  type  my  name  in  illustrator  and  using  Type  -­‐-­‐>  Create  Outlines,  I  separated  each  le<er  of  my  name  so  I  could  manipulate  it  to  how  I  wanted  it  to  look.  I  decided  to  make  my  name  to  look  like  Santa.  

The  objecBve  was  to  follow  step  by  step  direcBons  to  make  an  image  in  Illustrator.  

SEA MONSTER

As  I  followed  the  direcBons,  I  personalized  the  image  by  using  different  colors  and  gradients  that  I  thought  suited  it  and  placed  objects  how  I  thought  looked  most  a<racBve.  

Breast cancer awareness design

What  I  did  was  pull  the  breast  cancer  ribbon  into  PowerPoint  and  but  a  banner  over  it  and  a  circle  behind  it  to  give  it  the  superhero  feel  to  incorporate  the  theme.  Then  I  put  “Hope  runs  on  Heroes  on  the  banner.  

The  objecBve  of  this  project  was  to  make  a  t-­‐shirt  for  breast  cancer  awareness  using  the  theme  “Hope  runs  on  heroes”  

SELF PORTRAIT

I  used  the  pen  tool,  brush  tools,  and  fill  to  make  my  portrait.  Then  I  used  the  line  tool,  ObjectàBlend  command,  and  brush  tool  to  make  my  abstract  background.  Finally  I  used  the  perspecBve  tool  to  put  my  name  in  perspecBve.  

The  objecBon  of  this  project  was  to  take  a  picture  of  yourself  into  illustrator  and  sketch  it  out.  Also  I  had  to  make  an  abstract  background  and  put  my  name  in  perspecBve.  

CASA CHILDREN’S FESTIVAL POSTER

The  objecBve  of  this  project  was  to  make  a  poster  for  the  CASA  Children’s  FesBval  using  whatever  design  you  thought  would  best  fit  a  Children’s  FesBval  using  Adobe  Illustrator.  

What  I  did  was  take  a  picture  of  a  li<le  girl  blowing  a  flower  into  illustrator,  used  live  trace,  and  deleted  her  background  and  recolored  her.  I  used  this  image  because  it  looks  innocent  and  li<le  kids  are  innocent.  Then  I  found  a  kid-­‐like  font  and  colored  it  in  in  certain  spots  and  repeated  the  light  blue  and  light  pink  colors  throughout  the  poster.    

Stylized Nursery Rhyme

The  objecBve  of  this  project  was  to  create  a  design  that  represented  a  nursery  rhyme  using  a  certain  style  of  your  choosing.  

What  I  did  was  choose  the  nursery  rhyme  “There  was  an  old  lady  who  swallowed  a  fly”  and  use  the  Cut  out  Paper  style  using  the  wand  tool  and  select  à    inverse.  

MUTANT

The  objecBve  of  this  project  was  to  take  the  body  parts  of  four  different  animals  and  make  them  look  like  they  belong  together  and  the  environment  you  put  them  in.  

What  I  did  was  take  the  body  of  a  polar  bear,  the  face  of  a  walrus,  the  wings  of  a  snow  owl,  and  the  legs  and  feet  of  a  rhinoceros  and  made  them  all  white  using  hue/saturaBon  so  the  body  parts  wouldn’t  seem  out  of  place.  I  also  used  the  quick  mask  tool  to  cut  out  the  pieces  of  the  animals  that  I  wanted.      

THE PIXELS BAND POSTER

The  objecBve  of  this  project  was  to  make  a  band  poster  of  The  Pixels  using  the  art  nouveau  style.  

To  do  this,  I  used  the  inspiraBon  of  Will  Bradley  and  his  work  usually  had  simple  designs  and  colors  and  peacock  feathers.  I  used  simple  colors  and  incorporated  the  peacock  throughout  the  band  poster.  I  also  used  nice  fonts  that  went  well  with  the  art  nouveau  movement.
