HIP HOP LEGEND CEY ADAMS came to Atlanta at the bequest of the Art Academy to provide a Master Art
Class with the students of McNair Middle School.
Cey Adams was the creative Director for Def Jam and is responsible for creating and branding the visual graphics for artists such as Jay-Z, Run DMC, Public Enemy, Mary J. Blige, Beastie Boyz, HBO, Coca Cola & Comedy Central.

Arriving in Atlanta at McNair Middle School in College Park for the morning session was a great experience for
everyone. Mr. Adams brings nearly 40 years of experience as a corporate professional for the biggest
names in media.

Cey Adams toured the Jean-Michel Basquiat exhibit at The High Museum with McNair student’s. Mr. Adams and Mr. Basquiat were great friends that grew up together in NYC
& completed many art projects together.

CEY’S WORK
2015-2016 McNair Elementary We started off the year with
Art Therapy Classes creating Murals and Character / Comic Book designs
McNair built in the 1960’s was be torn down and rebuilt right next door in a $32 million dollar state of the art
facility…..the transition to be completed in Jan. 2016 had a great effect on the students
even though the building was to be destroyed we created wonderful works of art in the final days.
