Cover letter My name is Kunal Deshmukh and I am currently a second year Marketing student at JBIMS. Since childhood my parents cultivated the passion for excellence in me. I have had a good academic record throughout my career. Post my HSSC in 2007, I got admitted to the prestigious Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur through A.I.E.E.E.. My 4 years in VNIT gave me a very strong technical base and groomed me overall. In the year 2011 I completed my Electrical engineering from VNIT and started working in an MNC called Schneider-electric. Schneider gave me a chance to work in various domains across the length and breadth of country. I started with working in procurement division for the solar team in Gurgaon and was later moved to sales team in Bangalore where I was assigned sales and marketing for building automation division for southern India . Assignments like handling multiple clients, managing national key accounts, finding new business clients challenged my limits and honed my skills. Early exposure to leading a team to reach the set sales target made me more responsible and mature. Post the techno-commercial practical learnings in Schneider, I decided to pursue my MBA to learn a more structured approach to decision making. JBIMS gave me a chance to learn the intricacies of management. My internship stint at General Mills gave me a platform to apply my theoretical lessons of one year in the FMCG world. Various competitions and quizzes that I participated developed a sportsman spirit in me. Apart from this I have a keen interest in business quizzing and maintain a blog by the name quizquest.wordpress.com. I also play chess and badminton and take interest in solving puzzles like rubik’s cube and Sudoku. I see myself a perfect fit for the company as my greatest strength is my analytical skills. My sales job in the past has taught me the importance of being customer centric. Thus I believe I can live up to the philosophy of the company.
