Children to write their own part of shape poetry. Writing activities in provision linked to different Dr Seuss stories. Year 1: learn and write the shape of me poem, then change the objects and colours in the poem so they still rhyme, then children to write their own rhyming shape of poetry. Morning wow: Maths: EYFS: Teen and ty numbers (3 weeks) Money (2 weeks) Year 1: Place Value to 100 (3 weeks) Money (2 weeks) Science – The Lorax- “I speak for the trees” Art (6 weeks) - Colour Chaos: Week 1: Mondrain Week 2: Rothko Week 3: Klee Week 4: Pollock Week 5: Delaunay Week 6: Kandinsky Week 7: Create Road signs in the Topic: History- Dr Seuss through the ages (6 weeks) Week 1- 2000s (Dr Seuss Movies) Week 2- 1990s (The Places you will go) Week 3- 1980s (Hunches in Bunches) Week 4- 1970s (There’s a Wocket in P.E: Indoor PE- Dance- Thing 1 and Thing 2 (KJ to teach) Music: N/A- singing with Lizzie Langridge PSHE: The Sneetches (6 weeks) Tolerance and Differences SMSC: Social: Kindness jar Moral: PSHE curriculum and RE curriculum. Spiritual: RE curriculum, mindfulness sessions RE- MF to plan for PPA time. Morning wow: Magic Mystery box (like the one in Cat in the Hat) appears- don’t know what is inside- Every time they do something great linked to the topic something magic happens and the box releases a clue or a prize.End Treat- Final reward out of the magical mystery box of nonsense.
