The photographs taken at your wedding are one of the best ways to perserve your memories and events of the day. Chances are you will look over the photos many times through out your life time. They will be photos you share with your children and grandchildren. It’s no wonder that a wedding album becomes a family tresasure.
Wedding Photography is an investment and should comprise 7-10 percent of your wedding budget.
Amber Wilburn Photography specializes in creative wedding reportage. Blending both traditional and unique perspectives to tell your story. My approach to wedding photography is 85% reportage wedding photography, also known as wedding photojournal-ism or documentary wedding photography.
This style of photog-raphy focuses on the emotion & feelings of the wedding day captured on camera. Capturing the people who matter most to
you laughing, smiling, & interacting. Wedding Reporage isn’t about staging or excessive lighting but the real story of how the day unfolds in a story format but in images as it really happens.
In a non-obtrusive way, I photograph the day as it unfolds, with minimal intervention. I observe and photograph what I see. I work hard to
always be attentive to what is happening and to be in the right place at the right time.
I also use traditional photography with group & family portraits as well as posed shots with the sentimental and decorative pieces in your wedding and formal portraits.
You have worked hard to select just the right-
dress, cake, flowers & venue. I want to perserve those details. I also employ the use of black and whites when I feel the emotion would be best expressed in that format.
I have a detailed shot list and I will work with you very closely to ensure what you want is captured to the best of my ability.
