Sign Code Changes – Ch. 407, Art. 3 Complete reorganization Removed Master Signage Plan Concept Allow incentives by right in mixed-use PDs,
TNDs and properties with Activity Center Master Plans
Removal of exception for electronic time and temperature displays ‘Content-based Exceptions’ not allowed by law
Sign Code Changes – Ch. 407, Art. 3 Additional changes added:
25% size bonus for freestanding signs in mixed-use PDs & combination of signs up to 100 SF
Clarification on signs allowed for open air institutional uses in Ag or Residential Districts
Language on logo sizing removed Revised standard for removal of temporary real
estate signs in residential districts Ratio for banner size calculation changed from 3.5
to 3 for consistency with standard banner sizing

Clarification of bonus units allowed for Rural Clustered Subdivisions in Table 407.78.2 to be consistent with Comprehensive Plan Policy 6.2.10 2 bonus units per subdivision not per parent tract
Recommendation
Convene as LDRC and find the proposed Ordinance consistent with the Comprehensive Plan
Approve the ordinance adopting changes to the Alachua County Sign Code and other sections of the Unified Land Development Code.
