AMERICA IS ENTERING HISTORY

What is happening, overall, is that America is entering history.  Specifically, Americans are beginning to realize that 'America' as we know it - - the 'America' of our psyche - - the great overarching reality that, to us, has always been and, we always assumed, always would be - - the very 'firmament' that underlies and constitutes both physical background as well as psychological and epistemological context to the unchanging world that 'America' has always told us we were so fortunately ensconced in - - our dear, dear 'America' - - is actually lodged in the river of time just as precariously as everything else in this mortal world, and before our eyes may now be starting to actually slip away.  This, is the sadness now starting to creep in.  This, is our re-entry to history.
