AUM’s summer youth programs have provided educational enrichment opportunities for K-12 students for more than 25 years. Our mission is simple: Instill the joy of learning without the pres-sure of grades or tests in an environment in which students learn by doing. We are very selective in the hiring of certified K-12 classroom teachers to instruct our summer programs.

We all learn best and retain the most when we are having fun, so we create learning experiences where students have FUN! Our campers build and program rockets and robots; they create video games, jewelry, movies, stories, poems and visual works of art; they get their hands dirty learning to become scientists; and they explore new ways to improve their reading and math skills. This method of learning truly motivates students to become lifelong learners.

Our goals are to:

1 Bridge the summer gap by continuing/extending the learning process between school years.

1 Keep students’ brains active.

1 Motivate students by instilling the joy of learning without the pressures of grades, benchmarks or tests.

Here are some points to consider when evaluating the best summer enrichment camp for your child.

1 Summer enrichment camps are an investment, both financially and the opportunity they provide for your child.

Message from the Program Manager

1 Children benefit from obtaining new skills in academic areas such as creative writing, reading comprehension, problem solving and critical thinking.

1 They also benefit from growth in life skills, such as self-confidence, self-esteem, motivation, improved communication, and leadership.

1 Find out if the teachers or camp leaders hold teaching certificates or are experts in a parti- cular field. Make sure staff and teachers have all completed background checks.

1 The most advantageous camps incorporate fun right into the learning versus giving students free time. We all retain information best when we are having fun.

We have a number of summer enrichment camps to choose from. Find out how to register NOW and how to save money (read about our Early Bird Discount and Payment Plan options on page 14).

I look forward to another great summer, and hope you will join us!

Sincerely,
