Gender• The gender on the reality TV

show American Idol is very interesting

• Of the final 12 contestants there were six males and six females

• As the singers got voted off, more females got voted off than males and now the final two has become two men because Syesha was voted out.

• Besides the singers, the judges have different gender by having two men and one woman

• Simon and Randy are always criticizing and making fun of Paula. They make Paula look Crazy and Mental.

How class relates to American Idol.

• Many contestants on American Idol went on the show for the money

• The money was an incentive for people to get on the show.

• Many of the contestants have low paying jobs.• The show is an opportunity to make more

money• Past winners and losers have gone from rags to

riches using the show to help them get there.

Age• In American Idol,

Contestant’s ages vary amongst the singers. American Idol also forbids many contestants that want to try out to perform in the contest.

•Technically, American Idol is saying that some age groups are better than others.

•Teens that are below the age of sixteen can’t try out and adults above the age 40 can’t try out as well.

Idol Takes Back• On American Idol, they do a charity event called Idol

Gives Back.• This may be seen as and act of kindness, but Idol is

definitely doing this for other reasons. • Idol wants to make themselves look good. They

want to be portrayed as kind, human beings who just want to make their TV show another way to help children in Africa.

• They want to be more popular because people will think they are so generous.

• This is a VERY good thing they are doing, but also they just want to “spice” up their show with all of the celebrities.
