COMMANDER MESSAGE 95th Maryland Department Convention. Thanks to all Post 259 Delegates who attended the 95th Maryland Department Convention in Ocean City Maryland. It was a well-planned convention, and we were able to obtain a wealth of knowledge from the classes the Department offered. I would encourage every member of Post 259 to attend next year’s convention as a delegate and attend some of the very informative classes the department has to offer. Commander concerned about Army drawdown. “National Commander Koutz said “The reduction in active duty forces puts national security position in danger.” Upcoming events: None to report for the month of August. POST MEETINGS: “THIS IS YOUR POST.” I encourage you to come out to your Post meetings and have a voice in the current policies, and procedures. This administrative year I hope to introduce some new and interesting programs. I welcome your input.
