American Red Cross HealthStream Admin User Guide
HealthStream Administrators can perform the following activities in HealthStream:
1) Login options 2) Run reports on curriculum completions 3) Search for staff and access their resuscitation certifications 4) Search for staff to determine if they have completed their online evaluation
Follow the steps below to complete these admin activities.
Login Options
Step Action
1 If you have the Instructor role, and have been set up with the Adminsitrator role, you should see 2 login options as shown below:

Run Reports on Curriculum Completions
Step Action
1 Run reports on curriculum completions. This is helpful so that you can see who is still in progress and who is complete. The curriculum for all resuscitation courses consists of 2 courses. Successfully completing both courses provides a completion in the curriculum. Click Reports, then Learning Progress.
2 Enter a date range, check Report on Students and Select All as shown below. Then click: select a course, curriculum or equivelent.

3 Search for: American Red Cross The 3 resuscitation curriculum are shown in the search results below, these are the only curriculum you should select for your report. You can reduce the search results clutter by deselecting all but Curriculum as shown below.
Select 1 of the curriculum shown below for your report Then click Continue on the screen.

5 In Excel, click on the tab shown below.
6 Sort/filter column I as necessary. Staff with “2 of 2” have completed the curriculum. Staff with “1 of 2” have completed the online portion. Staff with 0 of 2 have not completed the online portion.

Search for Staff and Access their Resuscitation Certifications
Step Action
1 Access employee resuscitation certifications. On the People tab, click Manage Students.
2 Enter search criteria (usernames or last name/first name). Click Search.

3 From the search results, click on an employee’s name.
4 Click on Resuscitation Credentials.

5 Click on the appropriate Rescuitation Credential.
6 Select the appropriate option. You can send the certificate via email with the Send Certificate option.

Search for Students and Determine if they have Completed the Online Evaluation
Step Action
1 Staff must complete the online course evaluation before they become visible for a skills check off. If they have not completed the online course evaluation, they will not be visible for skills check off. They can present the online course completion certificate, but will still not be visible for skills check off until they complete the evaluation. Follow the steps above to search for a student and clcik on their name.
2 Click on “My Learning” and then click on the course.
3 The In Progress Status of the Online Course means the evaluation is incompleted. You can
click on the course again to confirm this.
