Certification/ Professional Development Hours…...Be sure to notice this Change!!! As our section moves forward to electronic notification for our meeting announcements, we have an alternative method for PDH documentation and tracking. AWS Miami has a form you can download from your section tool kit. http://www.aws.org/w/a/sections/forms/index.html#PDH meeting attendance record You will be responsible to keep this form and bring it with you to each meeting. On this form you will fill out; date, location, topic, speaker’s name, PDH earned and the slot must be signed by the speaker or a section officer. Again, you will be responsible for keep-ing this form and bringing it to each meeting that meets the criteria to award a PDH. Feel free to ask questions of one of our section officers or at the registration table. For those of you who do not have printing capabilities we will have some extra copies for you. We look forward to seeing you at our events!

Kevin McGuire

Receives a $500 scholarship from Treasurer, Steve Nielsen. This will help him attend Renton Tech’s Welding program. Look-ing on from Kevin’s left side is his brother, Ryan, who delivered a heart felt thank you speech to attendees of the October meeting for the scholarships he has re-ceived. Looking on from the right side is Steve Pollard who, as Ryan’s employer and former Chairman of AWS Puget Sound, helped inspire these promising young people to pursue a career in welding.
