Luggage Carrier (if equipped)

Your vehicle’s luggage carrier has siderails attached to the roof and allows youto carry a load on top of your vehicle. Some TrailBlazers are equipped withoptional sliding crossrails and tie-downspots to secure cargo. Adjust crossrails• Lift the lever on each side of the

crossrail and slide it into position. • Secure the crossrail by pressing the

levers on each side of the crossraildown into place.

Reduce wind noise when the luggagecarrier is not in usePosition the rear crossrail at the rear-most position and the front crossrailabove the rearmost portion of the reardoor opening (above the C-pillar).See Section 2 of your Owner Manual.

Tire Pressure Monitor (if equipped)

The Tire Pressure Monitor alerts youwhen a significant reduction in pressureoccurs in one or more of your vehicle’stires by illuminating the low tire pressurewarning light ( ) on the instrumentpanel. The low tire pressure warninglight will remain on until you correct thetire pressure.

You may also have a CHECK TIREPRESSURE message appear on theDIC (if equipped).

Correcting the Tire Pressure

When the low tire pressure warning lightilluminates, you must fill the tire to theproper tire inflation pressure. The Tireand Loading Information label shows thecorrect inflation pressure for the tireswhen they’re cold. “Cold” means yourvehicle has been sitting for at least threehours or driven no more than one mile.

You can temporarily remove the DICmessage by acknowledging it with yourDIC controls. However, at the next vehi-cle start-up, the DIC message will reap-pear if the tire pressure has not beencorrected.

You may notice during cooler conditionsthat the low tire pressure warning lightwill appear when the vehicle is first start-ed and then turn off as you start to drivethe vehicle. This could be an early indi-cator that your tire pressures are gettinglow and need to be inflated to the properpressure.

Note: Never carry anything on the vehicle roof that is longer or wider thanthe luggage carrier itself. (Examples:plywood, paneling, a mattress.) Theload could be violently torn off, causingyou or other drivers to have a collision.Loading cargo that weighs more than220 pounds (100 kg) on the luggagecarrier may damage your vehicle.

Note: The Tire Pressure Monitor canalert you about low tire pressure, but itdoesn’t replace normal monthly tiremaintenance.

See Section 2 of your Owner Manual.
