'v.l e were greeted by 50 pro spect! ve vein treatme nt patients. T he y waited 12 hours for o ur arrival with o ur sta ff including Lin dsey and Carrie. O ur ,group was hu sy sc reen ing patients until 3am . M,mypatients had open, venous ulc e rs wh ich had bee n poorly cared for . sutures in patients and give a post operative c heck up. The Ecuadorian patients were th rill ed with the results. And the docto rs WETt· so happv th a t we co uld uffe r ve in se rv ices in a mob ile hospita l. O ur humanirarian group of surgeon s, nurses and volunteers were gratified 1.0 help the poor of Ecuador wh o had inferior care ~e fore our v isit. It made me feel good to help these people to feel better and main tain themselves with hea lthier lives.

I can no longer take fur i..rranted our profitable, successfu l l ives in the U S A . It i~ my hope tha t we do nor follow the soc ialist health care I saw in Ecuador. It is my hope that we keep our we ll run model of health care in the U nited States.
