Inserting/Editing a link to another web siteClick on the insert/edit icon. This pop up window will appear. Enter the address to the website that you would like the link to go to. It may be easier to go to that website and copy the address then go back to this window and paste the address.

Inserting an Internal LinkWhen you click on the site page button this window will appear. If you click on the + sign next to text then the child level pages will appear. Click on the page that you want to link to.

Inserting a File Link and Uploading a FileSelect text and click on the insert link then the site file button. This window will pop up.If you have previously uploaded files then they will appear. Click on the file that you want to link to.

Inserting a File Link and Uploading a FileIf you need to upload the file then click on the + Upload Files link.

This window will pop up. Browse to your file and click Upload now. Then select you file. (don’t use bulk uploader)

Saving but not publishing you edited page.

Click on the disk icon to initially save.

Click on the save button.

Now the page is saved, but yet on the internet. You can come back an edit later.

Publishing you page to the internet.Make sure that you followed the directions on the previous slide then click on the P to publish.

This window will pop up. Check the box of the page you want to publish and then click on the publish selected button

Inserting an imagePosition your cursor where you want the image to appear, then click on this button.

Click on Browse image.

If the image has been uploaded then click on it. If not . . .(next page)

This window will pop up. Browse to your file and click Upload now. Then select you file.

Adding new pages

Web sites are generally designed in a hierarchical fashion. The relationship and location in final site is described with three terms, Root, Child, and Sibling.

Home page and My Classrooms are root level (the highest level), while Web 1 and Web 3 are children of My Classrooms, but not of the Home Page. Web 1 and Web 3 are also siblings of each other.

Adding new pages

You must know what page you are currently on in order to understand where the new page will be created. This color designates that you are on that page.

Move your mouse to page manager but don’t click, this drop down menu will appear. Click on Add new page

You can choose what type of page (standard, or calendar) that you want to insert.

Two slides previous to this one I had clicked on My Classrooms. I now have a choice to make a Child to New Classrooms or to make a new Root Level Page. I want to create a new class so I choose New Child.

I then give it a name. I name my page Example

Then click on the Save this page button

Adding a new standard page

This window pops up stating that a new page has been created. The new page will also appear here. Click on unpublished site tab to return to the normal screen.

Follow the previous directions on how to add a page. Click on the drop down menu and choose Calendar.Give it a name and click Save

This page will now appear telling you that it has been created and its location. Click on the unpublished site tab to edit.

Calendar Views – You cannot edit from here, it just shows you what is currently on your calendar.

Editing a calendar

Click on the pencil to edit your calendar. The screen will change to this.

Click the month that you need and then click on

+add new event

Add an event title, change the even date, and add text to the body. Then click save this event.

Editing a calendarThis screen will pop up telling you it has been saved to the calendar. Click on the unpublished site tab. If it does not appear click on the published site tab then back again on the unpublished site tab to refresh the screen.
