For the Tutor's guide we took into consideration

learning as context and guided, autonomous

and collaborative learning as methods. The

different functions are: materials developer,

forum administrator, F2F sessions' manager,

 - New tutors know that the CEFR and the descriptors of the European Portfolio are relevant documents to understand the level of the course, the course domain, the objectives of the course, to understand the quality grid behind the course, the basis of the methodology involved.

- New tutors understand the context in which the course is presented: open and distance learning, blended learning: language courses on an electronic platform + F2F sessions.

The F2F sessions: the tutor as real-time coach

The primary objective of the F2F sessions is to look back on previous units, to give Learners an opportunity to exercise their spoken skills, to discuss common errors, to have Learners present their group and individual tasks. Of equal significance is the

preparation for the unit that follows.

2.7.2 Course content

Course content covers different activities through which you progress from level A1 to A2. At the same time comprehension of spoken and written texts as well as speaking and writing are being improved. During F2F teaching more time is dedicated to activities for spoken interaction and spoken production – and there are several online activities that contain instructions on how to prepare for a particular dialogue or spoken production text. Some of these activities have to be carried out individually, others are based on interaction in pairs and groups or they require online communication. In addition, every unit includes some activities dedicated to self-reflection and learning

to learn. Types of TOOL course
