6th Annual Literacy Summer Camp

Writing is essential in every subject area.  

Become a better teacher of writing by learning more

about and engaging in writing.

Participants will:

• learn how to effectively contribute to a writing community

• write using a selected genre to further examine, refine, and

draw conclusions about writing and writing instruction

• assess his/her own (and others’) writing for the purpose of

learning more about writing instruction

• make connections between writing and professional

practice

Keynote by Dr. Ann Lieberman

Dr. Lieberman is known for her work in the areas of teacher leadership and

development, collaborative research, networks and school-university

partnerships, and the problems and prospects for understanding educational

change. Dr. Lieberman is author of Inside the National Writing Project:

Connecting Network Learning and Classroom Teaching (with

Diane Wood).
