To Our Fellow Shareholders

On behalf of the Board of Directors of Ixonia Bancshares Inc and Ixonia Bank we are pleased to present our Annual Report for 2014

Building a Better Bank

Over the last several years Ixonia Bank (Bank) has been battling the loan problems of the past which caused the Bank to record $314 million of cumulative net losses in the three years ending December 31 2012 In 2013 and 2014 the Banks earnings though positive have been modest but in 2014 the Bank made great progress despite the nominal earnings The Bank began 2014 with $223 million in substandard loans and foreclosed real estate By the end of the year this number had been reduced to $135 million a reduction of 40 As a reminder the Banks total of substandard assets peaked at $75 million More progress will be made in 2015 More importantly the Bank achieved a regulatory upgrade in late 2014 finally reaching a satisfactory level in terms of regulatory safety and soundness All regulatory actions against the Bank have been released and the Bank is free to evaluate growth and expansion opportunities

Removing problem assets from the Banks balance sheet and terminating extraordinary regulatory restrictions have been essential prerequisites to creating a sound foundation upon

Profitability and then Growth in that order

As we finish establishing the foundation of Soundness we are starting to focus on Profitability Mainly because of our problem loans and the disposition of those assets our current level of profitability is positive but unsatisfactory Certainly a key component of growing the Banks earnings over the next few years will be expanding our loans to high quality borrowers We assure you that the quality of the Banks borrowers will not be compromised to achieve loan growth targets

To attract borrowers that meet our standards we have continued to upgrade our personnel in our two main lending divisions - Commercial Lending and Residential Lending During 2014 we were able to bring on board Mr Mark Wierman as our Chief Lending Officer and the head of our Business Banking team Mark a resident of the Oconomowoc area is an exceptionally qualified and experienced lender and leader Under his direction we expect to grow our loans to quality businesses in our market Late in the year we also added Mr Tom Pasch to our Business Banking team Tom a Watertown resident also has a great background in meeting the financial needs of small businesses lfe look forward to him developing and servicing our business customers Finally we added Mr Jason Grubba an Oconomowoc resident to lead our residential mortgage business We feel strongly that financing homes in the communities we serve is an important role for the Bank and Jasons talent and experience in this area is already making a difference

Of course lending is not the only service we offer to our great customer base Because the lending practices of the past produced serious problems we will be focusing maximum attention to our lending policies and practices In addition those of you who are customers of the Bank recognize that we employ truly outstanding people who serve all of you in the branches accounting customer service electronic banking wealth management loan processing and Premier Club Because these people solve problems as opposed to creating them they are often not recognized for their significant contribution to you our customers and the Bank Space limitations prevent us from including the names of all of these fine people in this letter but we assure you that they are the foundation upon which we are rebuilding this organization Over time we intend to expand the products that we offer to our customers and put quite simply having the best people serving the best customers in all facets of our business will certainly produce the best results

During 2014 Mr Vince Shiely joined the Banks Board of Directors Vince is a partner at Lubar amp Co and has served in leadership positions at a number of Milwaukees leading industrial companies His business expertise is invaluable in analyzing the credit needs of our business customers and our own credit policies

Finally Mr Philip Holland will reach the Board of Directors mandatory retirement age in July of 2015 Phil will retire from the Banks Board at that time and is not standing for re-election to the Board of Directors of Ixonia Bancshares Phil has served Ixonia Bank for 29 years the majority of that in the CEO role Both the Bank and the communities it serves have benefited greatly from those years of dedicated and distinguished service Ole know that all of us wish Phil the very best as he enters a new phase of his life
