Secure modem on top of router

Plug in power cord to router

Plug in power cord to modem

Connect telephone line from modem to wall jack

Connect console cable to upper-right, blue-edged console port in router

Connect T1 cable (from the Smart Jack) to the T1 WAN Interface card

Connect serial connector of console cable to brown converter, and connect converter to modem

For connection, plug Ethernet cable into FE 0/0 port on back of router

Other end of Ethernet cable can be plugged into server, computer, private network, etc.

Loopback plug (used during troubleshooting if necessary)
