TRANSCRIPT

“Create your Bimbo and make her the

finest, coolest Bimbo that ever existed!! Help your Bimbo find a job,

dress her in some dazzlingly amazing

clothes, treat her, feed her and love her!”

Miss Bimbo: Virtual Game or Real Life?

…and don’t forget to find her a rich boyfriend because having money is the most important thing in life. With it, you can buy your Bimbo tanning sessions, breast implants, and face lifts!

The virtual world of Miss Bimbo is created for anyone at any age, however the majority of users logging in daily consist of young girls aging from 7 to 17. That is why creators Nicolas Jacquart and Chris Evans have directed the game at them. They claim that Miss Bimbo promotes positive moral values about the real world. But is partying, dieting, plastic surgery, and rich boyfriends a realistic lifestyle for young girls to strive for? Is it even reality?

The Podium

Objectives of Miss Bimbo include having the best hair, the nicest clothes, and the richest boyfriend. Being on “the Podium” is just one of the rewards on the way to become the most popular Bimbo in the world.

Various Levels of Miss Bimbo

Level 1: “Change your drap hairstyle to become a blonde with cool pigtails.”

Level 2: “Find a boyfriend who is Mr. Right or simply Mr. Right Now!”

Level 7: “After you broke up with your boyfriend, you went on an eating binge! Now it’s time to diet!”

Level 9: “Have a nip and tuck operation for a brand new face.”

Level 11: “Secure a breast operation because ‘big is best.’”

Level 17: “Meet a billionaire on vacation, catch his eye and his love!”

- Creators argue that they are not encouraging girls to aim for these goals in real life, instead they claim that the goals are “just part of the game.”

Young children look for role models to help them develop into the person they will become. Girls especially base their look, attitudes,

and life values around that of their chosen role model. When introduced to Miss Bimbo girls learn that the most important values in life are looking great and being popular. These game values would be harmless if the child saw it as just a silly game, but the problem is

that the young children logged into Miss Bimbo are not old enough to distinguish between fantasy and reality.
