CAMPUS ANNOUNCEMENTS

September 27, 2011

A 2011 Yale Information Session will be held at 7:00 p.m. October 6th at Luther Burbank High School 1002 Edwards Street San Antonio, TX 78204.This session will be held in the auditorium. Bianca Rolon, Assistant Director of Admissions, will discuss academic programs, residential college, and campus life, admissions, and financial aid. Please bring your family and friends. Registration is optional but encouraged. To register please visit: apps.admissions.yale.edu/events.

Culinary Arts students competed in a BAKE-OFF at the San Antonio Livestock Exposition Fall Fest on September 24th.

Senior Katelyn Moody took the 2nd place ribbon with her Italian Creme Cake. Senior McKenzie Steiber took 1st place ribbons for her Cocoa-Mocha Cakes and her Chocolate- Brownie-Cheesecake Bars.

McKenzie also walked away with the title of "Grand-Champion/Best of Show!"

• FCA is doing, See You at the Pole, this Wednesday morning, in front of the school

• We start between 7:30 to 7:45 am, and go till 8:30

The International Thespian Society of Samuel Clemens had a very successful Lock-In this past Friday night. We must thank our Chaperones: Ms. Gonzales, Ms. Sudol, Ms. Johnson, Mr. Wallace, and our own school nurse, Ms. Watson (she was up ALL NIGHT!). Personally I want to thank the officers for the great planning and running of the night. I am very proud of all the students who participated. You are a great bunch of kids.
