1. judgement----timing!

The timing of judgment is quite difficult, if not complicated, for a number of reasons. For one, the Lord God will speak in vague, if not hidden ways, because He holds the timing of judgment a secret, allowing for a change in the hearts of His people, whereby they might repent and pray, and in that He would either cancel or mitigate judgment in favor of mercy. In such a situation the timing of judgment is in flux, it can change depending on how His people respond to His Word of warning. For two: In the 42 some years I have ministered His Word to this nation, what has been evident is the Lord God's desire to spare His people the consequences of their sins. I have seen Him extend mercy upon mercy, year in and year out. However, when sin becomes grievous, when His mercy is rejected in vile ways, when sin leaks through mercy, I have seen judgments break out and come through and though short-lived and limited, they have proved horrific to behold.
