• 210.8• GFCI must be provided

for outlets within 6 feet for

• bathtubs, • showers, • Laundry areas• Dishwasher branch

circuit

Arc Fault Circuit Interrupters

• 210.12• Several locations in

dwelling units including kitchens.

• Dormitory rooms.

Garages

• 210.52• Branch circuits for

garages shall not supply outlets outside of the garage

Metal Fences

• 250.194• AC Substation fences

shall be grounded if within 5 feet of exposed electrical.

Cable Ties

• 300.23• Cable ties shall be listed

as low smoke

Electrical Cords

• 400.6• Cords shall be marked

with maximum operating temperature.

• Example: Temperature Rating:

• -40º to 140ºF

Seating Area Receptacles

• 406.5• The Receptacles shall be

installed face up.

Appliance GFCIs

• 422.5• GFCIs for appliance shall

be readily accessible.

Poor access. Have to move the appliance.

Vending Machines

• 422.51• GFCIs protection for

cord and plug connected machines.

Generators

• 445.11• Generators over 15 KW

shall be marked to indicate if the neutral conductor is bonded to the generator frame.

Backfeed Warning

• 490.25• Where backfeed could

exist, signs shall warn of the backfeed hazard.

Operating Room

• 517.19• Operating rooms shall

be provided with a minimum 36 receptacles.
