1.1 Drawings
REFERENCE DRAWING M01 (NOT RE-ISSUED):
1.1.1 Revise Mechanical Drawing List to the shown on the sketch ADD-M01-01, enclosed with this Addendum, to indicate Phase 1 and Phase 2 drawings.
REFERENCE DRAWING M05 (NOT RE-ISSUED):
1.1.2 Revise New Fuel Oil Piping Schematic to the shown on the sketch ADD-M01-02 enclosed with this Addendum, to indicate revised piping connection to Fuel Filtration Systems and Relief Vent pipes.
REFERENCE DRAWING M06 (NOT RE-ISSUED): 1.1.3 Revise Oil Storage Tank Fill Box detail (6/M06) to the shown on the sketch ADD-M01-
03 enclosed with this Addendum. The Fill Box is not required to be ULC Listed but be an approved spill containment device.
1.1.4 Revise Fuel Filtration System Schematic (7/M06) to the shown on the sketch ADD-M01-
04 enclosed with this Addendum. Provide isolating valves on each branch of Inter-tank Syphon Line.
1.1.5 Fuel Filtration System to operate and be interconnected with Alarm devices as described in the list shown on the sketch ADD-M01-04 enclosed with this Addendum.

1.1.6 Revise BAS connections (13/M06) to the indicated on the sketch ADD-M01-05 enclosed with this Addendum.
2.0 CLARIFICATIONS 2.1 In Section 4 – Scope of Work, page 4-1, item 4, delete the following sentence: "The Contractor
shall provide for each shut-down a 1750 KW mobile emergency generator, tied into the system via the sidewalk level grate at rear of building that provides access to vent shaft and to B1 level UPS room."
2.2 Drawings 1 on M02 and 2 on M02: Before pumping the fuel out of the existing main tank, the
Contractor shall ensure that the volume of the temporary tank(s) is sufficient to contain all of the fuel to be transferred, and shall provide a larger or additional temporary tank if necessary. The Contractor shall not be permitted to expand the designated storage space within the adjacent parking spaces. The fuel shall not be disposed of off-site, nor disposed through any site drain system.
2.3 Drawings 2 on M03 and 2 and 3 on M04 define the areas where the fuel oil fill piping to be fire
wrapped. Enclosed with this Addendum are the pictures made through the shaft access door on B4 level toward the direction the new pipes to be installed.
2.4 In Section 4 Scope of Work: CONSTRUCTION PHASING SCHEDULE: Phase One: add the
following new item 10:
"10. It is anticipated that the award of the project Phase One will be October 1 2013. It is anticipated that approval of TPS clearances for 50% of contractor crew will be Nov 15, 2013."
3.0 QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS Q1. Please confirm extent, detail of make good of spray on fire proofing to concrete slab within
underground parking garage, where existing pipes removed and therefore expose concrete slab. A1. The existing fuel pipe passes through loading dock area above service ramp that has no sprayed
fire proofing and therefore is not applicable. All other existing pipes are within building. Q2. Is the ventilation shaft a confined space? A2. The Ventilation shaft through which the new pipes are installed shall be considered a confined
space. All work to be performed in accordance with proper procedures, as defined by Ministry of Labour.
Q3. The pressure switch on Generator #2 existing pump set (P-F-01/02) is disconnected due to some
unknown to contractors’ issue. Will they need to do something with it? A3. The fuel pumps are the part of the entire system and shall be in operating condition and be
connected to all safety devices. The Successful Bidder will have to investigate this switch’s failure reason and replace the pressure switch if it is the cause. The investigation and replacement to be included into the scope of work and be carried in base bid fee.

Q4. What is the extent of work related to the floor in the main tank dike area? A4. Drawing M03 states the floor below each new fuel oil storage tank shall comply with the
manufacturer's recommendations and Code requirements. Q5. Fuel oil filtration system schematic shows isolating valve installed in prohibited location. Will
this be corrected? A5. Detail 7 of drawing M06 has been corrected to indicate the revised valve(s) location and is
enclosed with the Addendum.
