Late Smt. Mohini Pralhad Chhabria Scholarship for Agriculture Colleges of Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth, Rahuri 6th & 19th November 2019
Finolex Industries Ltd (FIL) and its CSR Partner Mukul Madhav Foundation (MMF) initiated a
program to support students from agricultural sector. An MOU has been signed on 4th June
2019 to provide Rs. 50,000 scholarships per year to 36 undergraduates, 20 Post Graduates and
3 PhD students to the lower strata of the society at these universities.
Interviews of 24 first year Bsc ( Agri ) students were conducted in Karad Agriculture college &
12 MSc Agri students from Pune. Following are the details of the interviews conducted till date
along with places and number of students by FIL/MMF:
Pune Agriculture - 12 BSc
Pune Horticulture - 6 BSc
Pune Agriculture – 12 MSc
Jalgaon – 10 BSc
Kolhapur – 6 BSc and 27 MSc students
Nandurbar - 7 BSc
Karad - 24
Total 104 were interviewed and 28 will be selected for the scholarship In coming days
interviews will be conducted at the Agriculture colleges in Dhule, Ahemednagar & Rahuri. This
will enable students to be motivated and educated with the required expertise in the field of
agriculture.

Health camp at Dr. Shamrao Kalmadi High School, Pune25th November 2019
A follow up health camp for the students of Kamadi High School was carried out at Bharati
Dental College. A total of 31 students were treated for Dental ailments. This treatment was
given under the supervision and expert guidance of Dr. Alok Patel & team.

gather information about their products and the manner in which FIL/MMF can support these

Updates from Ratnagiri
District Level Coastal Marathon9th November 2019
Ratnagiri District Police Dept. organized District Level Coastal Marathon- "Run for Unity" on
9th Nov 2019 to convey the message of unity and to establish cordial relations between the
Police and citizens. More than 2500 participants from various age groups took part in the
Marathon.
FIL/MMF were the main sponsors of this Marathon & provided financial support of Rs.1.50
Lacs. Dr. Pravin Mundhe (SP of Ratnagiri) has expressed heartfelt gratitude towards FIL and
MMF for their generous donation.
Monthly CP Camp at Ratnagiri23rd and 24th November 2019
Monthly Neuro Physiotherapy camp was conducted at Finolex Rehab center
Ratnagiri where 29 CP patients were

Children’s Day Celebration14th November 2019
Children’s Day was celebrated at Mukul Madhav Vidyalaya with
great enthusiasm. Various activities and events were organized
and performed by the students. Programme included speeches
on Nehruji and sweets were distributed amongst the children.

Updates from Mukul Madhav Vidyalaya Tree Plantation in MMV Campus by 10th grade students11th November 2019
To commemorate our first batch of students appearing for their SSC 10th grade examinations,
Mukul Madhav Vidyalaya held a ceremony for their parents where these 10th grade students
tagged their names to the trees planted in MMV campus. A tree plantation programme was
also organised in Finolex phase 3 colony on the same day. Students were accompanied by
their parents on this momentous occasion. This initiative was taken in order to ensure the
students' support in protecting and preserving our environment

Blue Day22nd November 2019
Blue colour day was celebrated on Friday, November 22, 2019 in Mukul Madhav Vidyalaya. The
day was great fun for all the tiny tots and everyone participated with great enthusiasm. The main
objective of the day was to reinforce the concept of BLUE colour. The classrooms were
decorated with various blue objects and balloons. All the children and teachers were dressed
up beautifully in blue clothes.

Success Story
A Celebral Palsy child Mast. Nehul
Santosh Dhore, Pune, Age 6 yrs. with
spastic quadriplegia has been taking
physiotherapy treatment from
Sancheti Hospital, Pune since last 6
months. FIL/MMF has extended
financial support for his physiotherapy
sessions, which has now enabled him
to walk without any external support.
Looking at his progress the doctors are
now trying to help him to walk straight
with flat foot & climb the stairs.

Ritu Prakash Chhabria, Managing Trustee, Mukul Madhav Foundation, a CSR arm of Finolex
Industries was felicitated by Indo European Business Forum with the prestigious "IEBF
Excellence Award -2019 (UK)" for her eminent, innovative and historic contribution in the field of
healthcare, social welfare and education. This award was presented to her during the Global
Business Summit on November 18th at the House of Lords, London in the august presence of
Baroness Sandy Verma, Lord Loomba, Lord Dholakia, former cricketer Kapil Dev, actor Suniel
Shetty, Vaibhav Dange and others. Her focused and sustained efforts at elevating standards on
