Using IBM Verse Mobile - Hands-On

1How do you keep track of what you need to Action?

2How do you keep track of what you are Waiting for?

Demo

1How do you keep track of what you need to Action?

… is very simple via the Verse app, whether you are triaging mail, sending a new message or reading a message you.

Marking something as an action: on iOS…

Tip: I can also mange these actions by simply swiping left:

• to add/modify my notes (notepad), • change the due date (calendar)• and marking them as done (checkmark).

Actions: Also easy to use on Android…

2How do you keep track of what you are Waiting for?

Mark a new mail for ‘waiting for’ follow-up…

Waiting for on Android…Easily mark a new message being sent out as one you are waiting for a response.

Focus: Quickly filter your actions to work on what is important.

The Verse app notifications on the device help you stay on top of your actions. Action items due today are automatically loaded into the notification section to alert you. Once you view those actions the notification gets cleared to reduce the noise.

Waiting for on Android…

3 How do you know what is Next?

4 How do you Prepare?

Demo

3 How do you know what is Next?

While using Verse mobile you can leverage integration with Connections cloud meetings, right from the calendar.

“Today Widget”

Keep me on schedule?

Audio call dial in on iPhone

Keep me on schedule?

The Verse “Today Widget” on Android• Stay focused on what is important.• Reminds you of your upcoming meetings,

mail from important people, and actions.• This should be the first thing you look at when

you open your Android device.• You can click to dial the conference number,

or you can join a Connections Cloud meeting with one click. (Requires Connections Meetings app to be installed)

4 How do you Prepare?

Clicking on a picture in the notification widget takes me right into my people view in the app, showing me messages only from that individual. This makes it easy to focus my attention on these messages. I can also view Ron’s Connections Profile right from the Information section.

Verse for iOS helps me focus on People…

I can quickly see how many unread messages I have pending with each person, …

…and just by clicking on their picture

I can review all the read and unread messages.

… helps me focus on Important People…

New Contacts Experience: People on AndroidContacts renamed to People with a modern look and feel.

Verse has the ability to show contact photos from different sources, in order:• Verse contact• Device contact• IBM Connections (for IBM Connections Cloud

customers)• IBM Chat Mobile (when logged in)

Avatar image is used when a photo is not found, based on last character of display name

Important People synched from Verse if using this as a backend. When a contact is selected you can view the messages received from this person and their contact info.

Anywhere you see the IBM Chat presence indicator you can launch directly into a chat.

You need to be logged into the IBM Chat app to make this integration work.
