Installation of AIX Oracle software - 11g Release 2.

Copy zip files from technet.oracle.com to a staging area on database Server –

Cd /u03/oradata/software/11g_rel2

ls –lrt

aix.ppc64_11gR2_database_1of2.zipaix.ppc64_11gR2_database_2of2.zip

Unzip both files –creates new directory called “database” .

cd database

ls –lrt

Click Ignore all at right hand corner at the top.

Once complete run root.sh as root user.
