Students don’t show up already knowing calculus You have to teach it to them

They don’t show up knowing how to succeed in school, life and career either, so if you want them to graduate and achieve the promise of their education, you have to

teach that too

But most retention and student success initiatives aren’t actually focused on teaching students to succeed but focus exclusively on preventing outright failure

In designing LRM, we flipped the script, and instead of focusing on why some students

fail, we instead examined why some students are extraordinarily successful

And we built the DNA of their success into the structure of the software so that it can be scaled

for all students

The key insight is that for students to succeed beyond the expectations of their circumstance,

they need an important Purpose, a clear Pathway to it, and support from a network of People who

share itPurpose | Pathway | People

The 3Ps of Real Success ™ is supported by research, but it’s also such common sense that we haven’t found anyone who disagrees with the concept

But the problem is in operationalizing the insight; schools simply don’t have line of sight into which students have the 3Ps and which do not

As a result, educators are forced to watch with limited influence as students flame out;

unmotivated unsupported, wandering aimlessly, sampling courses, racking up debt and feeling

alone

The promise of LRM is in the unwritten happy endings for the students you’ve lost over the years, not just in the numbers and the statistics, but in the

people and their potential

It’s in that moment right after admission, when they were introduced to the advisor, who helped them articulate their purpose for the very first time

It’s in the learning plan that got formed and changed then reformed and rechanged, but ultimately, got them ready

It’s in the friendships they formed in learning communities that kept them from giving up when the going got tough

It’s in the sense of confidence they built as a result of mentoring relationships formed with a faculty member, an older student, and alumnus…

The promise of LRM is in the remedial learning app that they got just in time to set them up for success in a challenging course

Helping you rewrite these stories, so that every student possible becomes a

success is why we built LRM

If you can imagine every single one of your students with a driving purpose for their

education, a clear pathway toward it, and a support network of people to get them

there…LRM can help you make it happen
