• Thursday, October 24, 1929• Most devastating stock market crash in the history of the United States• Black Thursday, Black Monday, and Black Tuesday

• Crash lasted one month• Six-year run lost in 3 days• 1 day lost 14 billion dollars in values

• Banks failed and lost money

• People lost jobs

• People sold all their belongs to get through the day

• People were lining up to get a free meal, 1 meal a day• Crash lead many people to kill themselves• Homes turned to shacks, majority began to live on the street• People wore signs to get help

• The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) recovered early in 1930

• It took a great deal of time to Recover and get back to how it was
