What is the Meaning and Purpose of

Life?Where are we going?

What is Life?

What is our nature as

human beings?

Are our actions destined?

Can we set our own destiny?

Why are there people who are born to poverty? Why are there

children who are born to comfort and opportunity?

Why are some people born healthy and normal?

And others born with lifetime disabilities?

What is true success in life? Is it wealth? Is it fame? Power? Happiness? Peace?

Is there really Failure in life?

How about monks and spiritual people, are they also successful when they feel fulfilled and happy?

Is death the final end? Do we live after death?

Where do we go after death?

Do we go to a place called

Hell?

Or Heaven?

Or do we return to another life?

How about ghosts?

Is there an invisible world

around us? Does it affect

us?Are there nature spirits? Angels?

Does God exist? How can

we know? Is God the cause of everything,

including accidents and

violence? Does God get angry? Does

God get jealous?

There are so many religions making many conflicting claims. Who are right? How can we know which is the Truth?

Why is the world such a violent place? Can there be

peace in society?

What is Happiness? Where can

we find true peace

and fulfillment?

Is there an end to human sorrow?

Are there answers to these

questions?

Since time immemorial . . .Countless wise people have

probed into the mysteries of life. They come from various cultures and time periods.

Many have found the answers. They solved the riddles of existence. They found the key to inner peace and realization.

The wisdom that they have taught have been called many names. But the labels do not really matter. It is an

Ageless Wisdom

These great teachers have given us various facets of this wisdom, but at the core, they teach essentially the same wisdom. Some of these great people are . . .

It has been known under many names:

Brahma Vidya

Gnosis

Kabalah

Gupta Vidya

Dhamma

Esoteric Christianity

Sufism

Mysticism

Etc.

The Wisdom is beyond sects or organized religions. Wisdom about life and the universe applies to all human beings, regardless of religion, nationality, sex or race.

Unfortunately, we do not learn it in school. Instead we are educated in order to meet the expectations of society, such as raising a family, having financial security, having a good job, etc.

In 1875, a group of great teachers, keepers of the Wisdom, decided to reintroduce it to the world under the name of Theosophy.

It gave again the ageless principles that were lost to the public, especially in the West

This gave birth to the Theosophical Society, founded by Helena Blavatsky and Henry Steel Olcott in New York.

No one in the present generation, it may be said, has done more toward reopening the long sealed treasures of Eastern thought, wisdom, and philosophy. No one certainly has done so much toward elucidating that profound wisdom religion wrought out by the ever-cogitating Orient, and bringing into the light those ancient literary works whose scope and depth have so astonished the Western world.

Objectives:

1. To form a nucleus of universal brotherhood without distinction of race, creed, sex, caste or color;

2. To encourage the study of comparative religion, philosophy and science;

3. To investigate the unknown laws of nature and the powers latent in human beings.
