PFC program consists of 2 phases :
Phase A- selection of the spared TPL elements• technique • test process• manpower, cost
Phase B- Cartography of TPL sector• technique• test process• manpower, cost

(SATIR : French acronym for Infra Red Acquisition and Data Processing device)
SATIR facility principle
Its principle is based on the comparison of the surface temperature evolution of the inspected component with that of a “defect-free” reference one. The armour surface temperature is observed by means of a digital infrared camera.
Low heat transfer capability is detected by a slower temperature surface response
Output of the SATIR NDE : Cartography of quantitative criteria DTref is obtained

LOCKIN technique and the in situ device
The LOCKIN is a method based on propagation in the CFC tiles of modulated thermal waves imposed at the surface of element.

PFC Program B
(Use of the same device)
1- Confirm the damaged element (phase-shift) and the erosion / deposit zone (magnitude) by means of LOCKIN
2- SATIR test on damaged element (protect the test zone)
3- Validation : Cutting and metallurgical analyse

Added remarks for phase B:
TPL elements
• Plansee can repair 4 tiles (max) per element = possibility to repair the removed elements (used for analysis of D content).
• Observation of the chemical state of the channel (oxidation layer?) = protection against oxidation after the dismantling of sector (under Ar, N2)
