Connecting with others is the single most important thing we can do for our happiness
Make time to talk – at least 5 hours per week
Be genuine. Be yourself. Be open about your feelings. Let the other person in.
Play – make time for fun, laughter, goofing off, nothing else on the agenda.
Engage. Be fully present, attentive, affirming. Make them the star. Try to understand what she really means when she speaks.
Be supportive. Find out what the other person’s goals and challenges are. Be encouraging. Do what you can to help him succeed.
Share your admiration and gratitude. Make a point to give compliments.
Trust. Put your faith in the other and show you believe he will not let you down.
Celebrate. Rejoice in the other person’s success.
Be physically affectionate.
