Manager Notes
Congratulations to our newly elected HOA 2010 Board of Directors.
I look forward to working with you during the upcoming year.
January has been a busy month around our park…our winter residents have returned
to a record breaking cold month, we had our Annual HOA Meeting that brings us a
new Board of Directors and many projects around the park have been started and
completed.
Have you been to our lake/dock area recently to see the owners’ new addition of two picnic tables and a park style grill for your use? Please ~ after
using the grill dispose of your used coals in the container by the grill and dispose of
any other trash in the garbage can.
Another new improvement to our park is the additional lighting around our
Clubhouse and Clubhouse parking area. Along with the new sensory lights by the
clubhouse front doors this should make for a safer entrance/departure at our
Clubhouse during the evening hours. Thank you Bill, Bruce and Leon for completing that project.
The RV, Boat and Trailer parking area has been improved as well. The
area has been graded and lots of mulch for the area was spread. There are now
assigned numbered parking areas for each unit. Thank you residents for being tolerant of the various units being parked in the vacant lots and clubhouse parking lot during the completion of this project. Speaking of the vacant lots…as per our Rules and Regulations “no parking” is allowed
on any of the vacant lots or in your yards. Please refrain from parking your vehicles
or your guests’ vehicles on the vacant lots or in your yards. If you are in need of
additional parking please use the Clubhouse side parking lot. Thank you.
Happy Valentine’s Day
Renee

Thanks
Barry and I would like to thank everyone in Lake Hammock Village for their prayers
and concerns for Barry while he was in Arizona recovering from eye surgery, and
for myself as I was preparing to drive down to Arizona. He is home now and the
eye doctor says the surgery was a success.
I would also like to thank Jim VanDyke for his help in getting me set up to do the
Gator Tales this month.

Newsletter Information
I have taken over as Editor of the Gator Tales.
We are trying a new format which will allow us to have more room for
additional information and graphics. We are hoping that you will feel free to
submit recipes, jokes, thoughts, and quotes. All we ask is that all content be
respectful and dignified to all parties equally including residents,
management, and ownership. If you have any submissions for “Gator Tales”,
I would appreciate it if you would get them to me by the 20th of every
month. If you have any thoughts on how the Gator Tales can be improved
please let me know. I look forward to this new challenge and to your many
submissions.

you haven’t talked to in awhile or make amends with a long lost friend with some
homemade cookies.
CHARITY - Make a small Christmas donation to someone in need or give an unused coat to a homeless
shelter or person.
ACTIVITY/VOLUNTEER – Help out or participate in at least one HOA activity this month or send a care

LHV Homeowner’s Association
February Community Challenges
HEALTH – Walk around your block three (3) times per week. Add an additional segment if you
accomplished our December goal. Commit today to adding exercise in your weekly routine.
Dr. Oz has recommended the use of a “Neti Pot” for allergies, nasal congestion, cold/flu prevention and
coughs caused by post nasal drip. Ask your doctor if the “All Natural” saline solution rinsed through your
nasal cavities is an inexpensive, safe and effective method for you.
FUN – Come out and play a game at the clubhouse on at least one Sunday night during the next month. Ask
2 to 4 people to come out and play dominoes, cards, board games, etc. Bring some cookies and drinks and
make a night of it. Remember our community BINGO is on Thursday night. Join the fun.
TOLERANCE - What is tolerance? It is the consequence of humanity. We are all formed of frailty and
error; let us pardon reciprocally each other's folly -- that is the first law of nature. Think for yourselves and
let others enjoy the privilege to do so too. Voltaire
CHARITY – Get together and send a care package to any soldier, sailor, airman or marine somewhere in
harms way. Ask your neighbors to fill a small box full of goodies. http://www.anysoldier.com/
ACTIVITY/VOLUNTEER – Participate in the Give a Day, Get a Day program for Walt Disney World. You
can receive one day at a theme park for a qualified volunteer day. See WWW.DISNEY.COM for details.
OUTREACH – Make two loaves of bread, two dozen cookies or some cupcakes this month. Give them all
out to your neighbors. Consider donating those unused can goods to a local food bank.
