CAPACITY ANALYSIS

74

2010 FIFA WORLD CUP SOUTH AFRICA ™NELSON MANDELA BAY

CONCLUSION

• Availability of sufficient funds remains a concern

• Reprioritization of Transport funding has negative effect on transport development in Uitenhage.

• Delays in the resolution of Stadium overlay and Government guarantees.

• 2010 Fever is slowly catching on.

• Working relationship between Host Cities and Fifa/LOC “THEM AND US.” Situation addressed at HC meeting 12/13 Nov . Vastly Improved relationship.

• Nelson Mandela Bay is confident that the LOC and the Host cities will deliver an excellent world cup in 2010, despite the challenges. The resilience of South Africans will prevail.
