Curriculum Green Comfort School of Herbal Medicine offers a variety of educational levels, from cooking with wild plants to learning to apply their actions to sustain health and well being. We would be delighted to have you come participate in the activities which meet your goals of healthy living. Come to the Blue Ridge Mountains and be transformed!
The Foundations of Medicinal Herbalism is a wonderful beginning to your herbal education as we delve into body systems and materia medica, understanding physiology and developing protocols for treatments. We use the textbook written by Teresa’s teacher, David Hoffmann, Medical Herbalism, to lay the foundation for our herbal studies.
The Herbal Apothecary series is Teresa’s original course, combining the demonstrations with laboratory hands-on methods of learning. This course makes the information practical and applicable to the herbal student who is wanting to integrate the use of herbs into home and practice.
Clinical Training includes practicum, lectures and intensives. Students participate in the operation of a community clinic and gain experience. In roundtable discussion, students review case studies, develop protocols and create formulations to offer recommendations to clients.
There are many workshops and lectures offered see website for details.
