Bama  Zetas  have  a  rich  history  and  tradition  of  excellence.  Today,  Zeta  Tau  Alpha  is  the  nation’s  third  largest  sorority.    Our  chapter,  Nu  Chapter,  is  the  14th  of  246  ZTA  chapters  in  the  nation.  We  are  proud  to  say  that  we  are  home  to  the  best  and  brightest  women  the  Capstone  has  to  offer.  With  103  years  on  the  University  of  Alabama  campus,  we  have  a  proud  tradition  and  strong  presence  throughout  campus  life.       Being  a  Zeta  is  about  friendship,  fun,  involvement,  leadership,  academics,  and  much  more!  Zeta  Tau  Alpha  was  formed  at  the  University  of  Alabama  on  April  10,  1910  and  was  the  first  sorority  house  on  the  UA  campus.

Philanthropy  Breast  Cancer                                Awareness  and

Education

Our  founders  committed  themselves  to  “serve  the  world  and  to  those  within  and  without  our  circle,”  and  the  sisters  of  ZTA  devote  their  philanthropy  efforts  towards  fighting  breast  cancer  through  education,  awareness,  and  research.      Philanthropy  and  service  play  a  major  role  in  the  life  of  our  chapter.    It  is  one  of  the  most  important  and  rewarding  things  that  we  do  together!  Nu  Chapter  has  been  recognized  on  campus  for  our  philanthropic  work  and  you  will  see  us  “thinking  pink”  throughout  the  University  of  Alabama.

Academics  Nu  Chapter  prides  itself  on  its  academic  achievements  and  we  have  a  scholastic  program  that  is  designed  to  support  and  encourage  our  members  toward  academic  success.    Scholarship  is  a  high  priority  for  ZTA’s!  Our  program  features  study  halls,  scholastic  programming  and  tips,  study

buddy  lists,  and  study  files.  Our  Academic  Achievement  Chair  encourages  and  assists  members  with  their  studies  by  discussing  study  habits,  creating  chapter  GPA  goals,  and  proctoring  study  hall  hours.  We  also  have  a  silent,  or  group  study  room  located  in  the  ZTA  house.  Each  semester,  students  are  recognized  for  their  academic  achievements  with  a  scholarship  banquet.

Social  Along  with  sisterhood  and  immense  campus  involvement,  Zetas  enjoy  many  exciting  social  functions  throughout  the  year!  There  are  always  opportunities  to  pair  up  with  different  Fraternities  and  Sororities  on  campus,  or  invite  a  date  to  our  fun-‐filled/themed  social  events.  From  swaps,  themed  socials,  formals,  football  tailgates,  chapter  sisterhood  events,  and  our  annual  Parents  Weekend,  ZTA  enjoys  having  a  great  time.
