Criteria for Youth Participants:

1. 15-17 years old2. Active in community service and in outreach or related

activities3. Good academic performance;4. Will attend the program's Follow-on Activities;5. Can speak, read and write in English;6. Character references and letter of institutional

endorsement and support; and7. No previous significant travel to the U.S. on a U.S.

government-sponsored program.

Criteria for Adult Participants:

1. Preferably high school teachers,2. administrators and/or 3. NGO or community leaders working

with the youth, 4. have demonstrated interest in

environmental advocacy, and 5. who are not over 35 years old.

Criteria for Adult Participants:1. Active in environment-related activities or

community outreach projects;2. Active in projects related to training youth to be

responsible citizens3. Will attend the program's Follow-on Activities;4. Good English language skills;5. Character references and letter of institutional

endorsement and support; and6. No previous significant travel to the U.S. on a

U.S. government-sponsored program.
