Jordan's!Labor!Market!Paradox!World!Bank!released!a!report!to!invesGgate!the!unemployment!in!Jordan!(Jordan!5!Resolving!Jordan's!labor!market!paradox!of!concurrent!economic!growth!and!high!unemployment).!As!per!the!report,!although!Jordan!has!successfully!aWracted!investment,!achieved!strong!GDP!growth,!unemployment!rate!was!not!reduced.!!

One!of!the!key!reasons!this!did!not!happen!was!that!significant!amount!of!the!FDI!and!growth!went!into!sectors!employing!non5Jordanians!such!as!ConstrucGon!and!Manufacturing.!

One!strategy!to!deal!with!current!situaGon!is!to!target!sectors!driven!by!Jordanians,!and!Technology!is!on!of!these!sectors.!
