MISSION

Midtown Indianapolis, Inc. exists to enhance the quality of life and sustainability of Midtown Indianapolis. Through the provision of comprehensive community development services and in collaboration with community stakeholders we work toward six community identified aspirations which seek to transform Indianapolis’ Midtown into a destination connected, an exceptional outdoor experience, a public policy collaborator, a place of investment, an employment generator, and an identifiable place.

•The MEC was organized in 2010 to advocate for the Midtown EDA and Midtown TIF District•The City County Council designated the group to make recommendations to MDC and CCC related to Economic Development in the EDA.•MEC adopted its charter in November 2013•MEC recommended its first proposed TIF Bond April 2014.
