Commodore’s Comments
Hello again from isolation. No, not quite true, we did go out to lunch last week. Most rewarding. All at the club remains stable and we are near to a semi opening. There will be a tailgate/picnic mainly in the parking lot on Friday June 5, Barbecue food and styrofoam boxes. Take home or bring some tables and chairs and enjoy the outdoors. You could also use the porches or the inside if social distancing is observed. No bar. BYOB, No hard liquor. Please wear a mask.
On a sad note, Paul Ford, one of our members, has passed away earlier this month.
As for as I know no one at the club has been infected by the virus. Let's keep it that way.

President’s ReportDue to COVID-19 the NautiLadies have canceled all of their events until such time as we can get together as a group. Marilyn had planned some splendid outings, but for right now, we will just be enjoying the spring weather from our homes.

Friday Night Tailgate 🍴Food &
BeverageCommittee
Come join us while still social distancing on Friday, June 5 for a "tailgate" and BBQ at the Club with Chef Carl Campbell. Bring your own beer, wine, soda or water, as the bar will not be open. Happy hour begins at 6 pm, with Chef Carl starting to serve at 6:30 pm.
A few tables will be available on the porch and indoors, remembering social distancing. However, you might wish to bring your own chairs and card tables for the gathering in the parking lot. You may also choose to carry your BBQ home, by selecting that option on the registration page.
The cost of the BBQ is $20 per person and includes delicious pulled pork, chicken, baked beans, coleslaw, roll and BBQ sauce.
Register through the Constant Contact email sent to you.

The crew that worked on the YCHHI red Scot 10 years ago. It needs the same TLC again!
"Tide and time wait for no man" and both seem relentless on small boats and docks. Volunteers are needed to boost participation in the Flying Scots program.
The launch of the floating dock YCHHI members built at least 20 years ago. This dock was loaned to the sailing center and was destroyed by Hurricane Irma. The floats were recovered and are now in the YCHHI yard. We need to get it rebuilt too.

Wine Club 🥂🍾🍇🍷
Hello Wine Club Members and all you yachting wine lovers. Your Board of Stewards has wisely chosen to keep the Club closed for the month of April. So we will be postponed until the Club is able to welcome us back. Until then, keep tasting, take notes and be ready to share tales of the tasty ones you have discovered while “sheltering in place”.
The internet has numerous sites covering any and everything to do with wine. Check a few out, you’ll be amazed. To start, here are two I like: vinepair.com and nataliemaclean.com.
Keep safe, stay well and hope we will be tasting together soon.
If you take photos of YCHHI events and would like to see them in the Main Sheet, please email to julie.traylor17@gmail.com
