Once lived on Bali, where the last tiger was believed to have been killed in 1937.

The Javan Tiger occurred on the Indonesian island of Java. The exact time of extinction remains unknown, but this subspecies must have become extinct in the early 1980s.

The Caspian tiger once ranged throughout Afghanistan, Turkey, Mongolia, Iran, Northern Iraq, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and the Central Asiatic region of Russia. The exact date of extinction is unknown.

The Bali tiger was the first subspecies of the tiger to become extinct. Unfortunately, since then, further two subspecies, namely the Caspian Tiger and the Javan Tiger, have become extinct. The five remaining tiger subspecies are the Bengal tiger, Siberian (Amur) tiger, Sumatran tiger, Indo-Chinese tiger, and the South China tiger. These 5 subspecies are critically endangered end may follow them soon, if nothing more will be done to protect them!
