Installation instructionFitting of bars

Version > 12kV

Identical for single – hole U – fittings

Note: fitting is identical for single-hole or two-hole U fittings

Place the field distributors correctly on the U-fitting

(use fool proofing device to ensure correct placing)

Incorrect fitting

Fit bars and then nus and bolts

Tightening torque: 28Nm

Lock the bolts V for fixing the U-fittings after all the bars have been fitted

Tightening torque: 28Nm

Installation instructionFittting the earth bars

Connect the earth bars together (using HM 8x30 bolts)

Earth the substation frames in either of these two ways

Schneider Electric 16- Services Division – Training SM6 Cubicle – July 2011

Start-up & operating instructionsChecks before energising

Check that nothing has been left in the connection compartment.

Put the front panel back in place

Schneider Electric 17- Services Division – Training SM6 Cubicle – July 2011

Start-up & operating instructionsVoltage indicators

Incoming cubicle:

As soon as the load side of the insallation is energised, the voltage indicator lamps should go on

Outgoing panel:

After the feeder disconnector and then the CB have been set to the closed position, the voltage indicator lamps should go on

Schneider Electric 18- Services Division – Training SM6 Cubicle – July 2011

Start-up & operating instructionsPhase concordance test

If the phases concord, the lamp remains off.If the phases do no concord, the lamp goes on.

Schneider Electric 19- Services Division – Training SM6 Cubicle – July 2011

Start-up & operating instructionsFeeder disconnector operating lever positions

Position the lever as indicated for downward (opening) operations.

Position the lever as indicated for upward (closing) operations.

Schneider Electric 20- Services Division – Training SM6 Cubicle – July 2011

Start-up & operating instructionsCB no-load Operations

1. Lock the lever insertion point E of the feeder disconnector with the key inserted at point B.

2. Remove the key from B then insert it at point C.

Unlock then charge the CB

3. Press the CB by pressingpush button I

4. Open CB by pressing pushbotton O.

Initial status:

The feeder disconnector is in open or earth position. CB locked in open position.
