• The music videos I like most is Fall out Boys. This is because the video doesn’t necessarily relate to the lyrics of the song. Therefore, this will allow them to experiment with different ideas making it unpredictable to the viewers. This opposes some media theorist definitions one being: the use of mise en scene and other features like that to create an ‘inauthentic’ piece.
• One of the music videos I find most interesting is Fall Out Boys ‘The Mighty Fall’. They explore the use of fire, making it abstract and eye-catching to the audience; following the definition of pop-culture. The setting of the music video also entertains viewers because it is mysterious, making them unsure of what is going to happen.

Ed Sheeran
• Alternatively, Ed Sheeran – A Team is a music video that the song lyrics tell a love story. Another example of Ed Sheeran doing this is with his latest hit ‘Give Me Love’.
• A Team is an interesting material to watch as the setting is on the streets and in black and white. The colour scheme acts as a metaphor describing the story behind the lyrics. This makes the piece unauthentic as every detail of the story has been well thought out and portrayed.
• The video reveals the process of the actress and her life and correlates to the lyrics as a step-by-step guide to the emotion behind the song.
Rihanna
• Lastly, Rihanna ‘We Found Love’ plays around with different effects which makes you want to repeatedly re-watch just to see if you missed parts out.
• The reason for liking this song is because of the ideology of relationships as it captures both the positive parts and the negative. Jumpcuts, Montaging and increasing framebreak makes the video abstract and further makes a deeper connection to the meaning behind the song.
