Jewels in the Genome Analogy
Find
An individual’s genome is the full complement of genetic information that it inherited from its parents.
Within this vast repertoire of genetic information, individuals genes are being discovered that control critical production and fruit quality traits.
Put into application in breeding
Jewels= valuable genetic discoveries ready for breeding application= marker-locus-trait associations validated in a breeding program
Polish
RosBREED seeks to find, polish and put into application predictive DNA tests for valuable Jewels in the Genome
