Lino Tagliapietra
Lino Tagliapietra - one of the most prominent contemporary glass artists – was born on the island of Murano (Italy),
the history of glass production which dates back to 1291.
At age 11 he was sent for training to work with glass maestro Archimede Seguso.
At the age of 21goda he was promoted to maestro. In 1968 he became acquainted with Dale Chihuly
at the time of his visit to Murano. In 1979 he went to teach in the U.S.,
where he worked with American artists. Lino Tagliapietra work won numerous international awards
and are in many major museums around the world
