Hi! My Name is Saravana Kumar and I'm the founder of BizTalk360

I’m a Microsoft Integration MVP

I come from a very humble average Indian middle class family

Schooling at Mettupalayam

UG (B.Sc.) at Ramakrishna Vidyalaya

PG (MCA) via Distance Education

Did not go to IIT / Oxford!!

1998 - 2001 – Nuva System

(very close to this place)

Monthly salary INR

2500 ($45)

At the age of 22, I went to London for work

2001

I worked for various companies in United Kingdom for 10 years

I founded BizTalk360 in 2010 without knowing anything

about what it's going to turn up

For the first 2 years (2010 to 2012), the company was just me

Today (2015), we have over 30 people across 2 locations (UK and India)

Where we are today!

350+ Happy Customers from over 25+ Countries are happily using the product!!!

Well; till now, it’s been all about myself

The reason I told you this story is….

To give proof & confidence anyone can succeed

What's the message I want to

convey today?

Things I’ve learned that

shaped my career

5 things young people should focus

on

Passion & Hard Work1

You find your passion and stick to it

1. Passion & Hard work

Once you find a passion, work hard

without any expectations

(in fact they are mutual)

1. Passion & Hard work

Even if you fail, you still will be in a good shape

1. Passion & Hard work

FIND YOUR PASSION

In early part of your career, focus on

opportunity to learn vs. making money

Or, work under someone who is a great mentor

1. Passion & Hard work

Time & Productivity2

2. Time & Productivity2. Time & Productivity

You can’t turn back time!

2. Time & Productivity

Days are long but decades are very

short

10 years will go in a blink of an eye. Don't

lose it!!!

2. Time & Productivity

Don’t waste your time on unproductive things,

question yourself - constantly

2. Time & Productivity

Networking3

There will always be good & bad people in your life

3. Networking

The choice is yours, with whom you are

associating

3. Networking

3. Networking

Tell me who your friends are, I’ll tell you who you are!!

When you are looking for an opportunity, you are actually

looking for a person

3. Networking

The connections you make now is the one

going to help you in the future

3. Networking

Risk Taking4

Some element of luck is there, but be prepared to work hard and take calculated

risks

4. Risk Taking

If worst case is losing some time, money, discomfort, it's ok to take that risk

4. Risk Taking

But, if worst case scenario is losing your credibility, reputation, all your wealth, don't

take that risk

4. Risk Taking

Be Practical5

I think there is a gap in the education system

5. Be Practical

It rewards you for not trying. In real world you don't know until

you try

5. Be Practical

Deal with the situation, it all comes down to you -

how you see the problem challenge

5. Be Practical

Avoid using the word “problems”! Turn it into “Challenges”. Life will take a new turn!!
