I do not know of another state where I had rather be than his great state I’m living in and that is Tennessee.

State Governor and Lieutenant Governor

Governor Phil Bredesentook office as Tennessee's 48th governor in 2003. Before serving as governor he was mayor of Nashville from 1991 to 1999. He grew up in rural Shortsville, NY and graduated from Harvard.

Lt. Governor Ron Ramseyassumed office in 2007. In Tennessee, they do not elect their lieutenant governor, rather, it is the Speaker of the Senate. He was elected to the House in 1992 and then to the senate in 1996, 2000, 2004, and 2008, making him the longest serving Republican Lt. Governor in Tennessee history.
