• Wears complete uniform.• Has all assigned equipment and uses it

properly.• Demonstrates understanding of

pedestrian signals, traffic signals and crosswalks.

• Alert and attentive to potential hazards• Prioritizes overall safety of both

pedestrian and vehicular traffic.• Correctly positioned at post.

PERFORMANCE CHECKLIST

• Demonstrates the proper search pattern.

• Ensures children remain on the sidewalk or at the edge of the roadway.

• Properly positions self in the roadway for maximum visibility.

• All motor vehicle traffic has stopped • Instructs children to cross behind

him/her.• Remains in the intersection until all

children have safely crossed
