underpassUnderground roads designed to establish a free space for pedestrians within a limited urban space are intuitive and appear as a space for people only, but they have problems with the lack of light inflow and poor connec-tivity with urban composition. Diversity is given to the context and approach of connecting the underground islands and the Sunken, enabling an open and three-di-mensional use experience through the connection of the city to the great square, the design of the center that sends light to the basement floor, and the inflow of light using the form of the upper crosswalk.
floor processFloors with different levels were formed without damaging the direction of the existing walkway. A new indication of the connection between poorly used grass and water space was added to the Sunken Level.
circulationCreated walkways of different levels in Song Sang-hyun squarewhich currently has two intersecting walkways.Walkways with various programs and meanings are connected and collided. And the connection and collision of walkways make the square act as a potential place where users are capa-ble of doing various things themselves in vibrant space.

The "Songsanghyeon Square," which is designed to communicate and flow, is shunned by citizens due to lack of convenience facilities and contents. In addition to the construction of a vehicle-centered plaza that is not suitable for its purpose, the term "one of the nation's largest-class downtown squares" is not much to be used by actual citizens. Due to inefficient program placement, the plaza, where the function of the walkway is strongly revealed, has become a hiking course that needs to be continued rather than a space to stay. In fact, citizens tended to think of the park as a passage rather than a walk. And in the case of grass square, the behavior was different from the use of the park. The grass in the civic park is active in use, with citizens always walking past it and spreading their mats. However, the lawns in Songsanghyeon Square are often off limits. The roads and forms of historic value have disappeared or been left with only traces remaining, and they can be found to have a gap between the plaza design and the actual creation. And this is both very inefficient and unproductive. Under the present state, the role of the plaza will be supple-mented by improving the area of use of Songsanghy-eon Square, supplementing insufficient content, and re-positioning the program, and connecting the con-text of the old history to give the plaza the character of staying and a slow space for relaxation.
