What tasks are involved in providing the required leadership for effective diversity management? For me, leadership refers to the sum total of efforts to ensure that an enterprise has an appropriate mission, vision, strategy, and culture, and that these elements are manifested in all of the organization’s activities. Leadership provides the “macro” context for “micro” managerial activity (daily efforts to achieve organizational objectives). Responsibility for creating these contextual variables and ensuring adherence to them can be a shared one throughout the organization, but it usually begins with senior executives.
